PARK RAPIDS, MN (April 12th, 2021) – After a period of decline, CHI St. Joseph’s Health Community Health is reporting an increase in COVID-19 cases in Hubbard County. With this increase, there is also an increase in hospitalizations.

CHI St. Joseph’s Health Community Health, as the Public Health Agent for Hubbard County, urges all residents to stay vigilant with handwashing, mask wearing, and avoiding crowds and group gatherings when possible. Additionally, all residents of Minnesota aged 16 and older are eligible for vaccination. CHI St. Joseph’s Community Health will be offering the Moderna vaccine for ages 18 and older on Tuesday, April 13th from 9:00am – 11:00am at the Akeley Food Shelf, and on Wednesday, April 14th from 4:30pm – 6:30pm at the Park Rapids American Legion. Both clinics offered are walk-in, no appointments required. A registration form will be required to be completed prior to vaccination. There is no charge for a COVID-19 vaccine through CHI St. Joseph’s Health Community Health.

With the increase in COVID-19 cases, we encourage the community to take advantage of vaccination opportunities, whether through Community Health or through their own health care provider.
