PARK RAPIDS, MN (August 1, 2022) – Hubbard County is seeing another surge in COVID-19 cases, driven by the Omicron BA.5 variant. The community and transmission levels in Hubbard County are currently rated as “high” by the CDC.
When community levels are high, it is recommended to mask indoors, stay up to date with COVID vaccines and get tested if you have any symptoms or have a known exposure. Symptoms of the BA.5 variant include, but are not limited to a runny nose, cough, sore throat, fever, headache, muscle pain and fatigue. BA.5 is very contagious and anyone with any of the symptoms listed is encouraged to test, either with a home test or by contacting your medical provider.
