“Each of these incredible organizations is making a profound impact on the health of our community, and we are proud to support their efforts,” said Ben Koppelman, CHI St. Joseph’s Health President. “This investment is a testament to our belief in the transformative power of community partnerships, and we look forward to the positive outcomes of these collaborations throughout the communities we serve.”
This year’s CHI St. Joseph’s Health recipients include:
Youth Emergency Shelter & Supports:
YESS is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for youth experiencing homelessness, or in crisis needing shelter. Their team is committed to helping young people in northern Minnesota communities get back on their feet by offering emergency shelter, counseling, and other necessary support.
Living at Home of the Park Rapids Area:
Living at Home is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping seniors remain in their homes. Living at Home mobilizes volunteers and community resources to provide essential services like transportation, grocery shopping, light housekeeping, respite care, and caregiver support, enabling seniors to live comfortably and independently.
These local grants are part of $1.1 million dollars given in the Central Region CHI St. Joseph’s Health parent company, CommonSpirit, to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve, especially the vulnerable and underserved populations. The awarded grants will fund projects planned for 2025.
