PARK RAPIDS, MN (May 23, 2024) – CHI St. Joseph’s Health is proud to announce the awarding of $11,000 in scholarships to 11 deserving students pursuing healthcare careers in the Park Rapids, Nevis, Menahga, Sebeka, Laporte, and Walker/Akeley/Hackensack communities.
This scholarship program reflects CHI St. Joseph’s commitment to fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals and ensuring access to quality care in rural communities. By supporting students with a passion for serving their communities, the program aims to attract talented individuals to return to the area and address the growing need for healthcare providers.
“We are incredibly proud to support these outstanding students as they embark on their journeys in healthcare,” said Ben Koppelman, President of CHI St. Joseph’s Health. “Their dedication to serving others and their commitment to rural healthcare is inspiring. We are confident they will make a significant impact on the lives of patients in our communities.”
The scholarship program is funded through the annual Gathering on the Greens Golf Benefit, which benefits both the CHI St. Joseph’s Health Foundation and Hospice Care. Additionally, generous donations from CHI St. Joseph’s Health employees and memorials honoring Brian Koria and Laurie Hohnstadt contribute to the program’s success.
